Warnings and instructions for using our products.
The instructions are summarized according to the Slovenian standard SIST EN 15494:2008 • A candle should never burn unattended. • Place a burning candle on a stand, candlestick or suitable container, and keep it flat and stable. • Do not move or carry a burning candle around the room. • A burning candle should always be out of reach of children or domestic animals. • Never place burning candles in a draft, near flammable materials (curtains, paper, etc.) and devices that emit heat (stoves, electrical appliances, etc.). • Burning candles should not touch each other. Observe the minimum safety distance, i.e. 10 cm between individual candles. • Before lighting, cut a long wick to approximately 1 cm. • Never throw burnt-out matches into molten wax. • Never extinguish a candle by blowing on the flame or with liquid; use a bell to extinguish it. • A candle can also be extinguished by dipping the wick (e.g. using a metal stick) into melted wax and then straightening it again.
Recommendation
To ensure an even burn and to avoid possible damage to the crystal or overheating of the wax bottle, I recommend that once the top layer of soy wax has softened, remove the crystal from the wax and place it next to the candle. You can clean it later with warm soapy water, which will not affect the healing energy of your candle.
Sometimes leaving a crystal in a candle while it is burning can also lead to tunneling of the candle and can also displace the wick or even obstruct the wick, preventing the candle from working. With candles with crystals, it is important to make sure that the wick has enough space so that it can actually burn.
If your candle wax starts to tunnel, you can wrap the jar in foil, leaving the edge over the opening, so that the entire container heats up and melts to the edge.
It is important to let the candle burn all the way to the edges when burning for the first time. The candle should burn for a maximum of 4 hours, a minimum of 2 hours.
